Two foreigners on Koh Samui, noticing something missing.
We’re Alex and Matt — two foreigners who built a life on Koh Samui and noticed something missing. Thailand has incredible food, world-class hospitality, and bars that punch way above their weight. But the drinks shelf? Still dominated by the same handful of global megabrands you’d find in any airport from Bangkok to Berlin.
So in 2025 we started German Beverage Co. — an importer with exactly one rule: we only bring in brands we’d happily pour for our own friends. Brands with stories. Brands with backbone. Brands that don’t compromise on the things that actually matter.

Carefully curated
We import a handful of brands a year, not a hundred. Each one is something we genuinely drink ourselves. If we wouldn’t pour it at a friend’s house, it doesn’t go on the truck.
Officially imported
Every bottle comes in through proper channels — full Thai customs, FDA-compliant labelling, certificates of authenticity, temperature-controlled storage. No grey market. No parallel imports. No surprises.
Locally supported
We’re not a faceless distributor. Matt and Alex answer the phone. We know where every bottle is, who’s pouring it, and what the next shipment looks like. Based on Koh Samui, shipping nationwide.
First on the truck
fritz-kola — Hamburg’s cult craft cola.
Born in 2003 from two students who got tired of the Coke-or-Pepsi duopoly and started bottling something better. Real cane sugar, 2.5× the caffeine, designed for the kind of bars where people actually taste what they’re drinking. By 2019 it was outselling every cola in Germany except Coca-Cola itself. Now it’s on its way to a fridge near you.
fritz is just the start. We’re already working on the next brand. And the one after that. Same playbook every time: pick something we love, bring it in officially, ship it in glass, and stand behind it.
